Social vs HeyReach: LinkedIn Outreach for Agencies
Choose HeyReach when your agency needs a managed outbound campaign across client senders. Choose Social when a technical operator wants an agent to build a smaller, custom research and outreach workflow.

Which should you choose?
Choose Social if
your operator already uses an agent and needs to change the research, engagement, and messaging logic around each client’s problem. You are prepared to own that workflow and its approvals.
Choose HeyReach if
you need sender rotation, client workspaces, a unified inbox, and campaign reporting in one outreach product. HeyReach also has MCP, so agent access alone is not a reason to switch.
Switching probably isn’t worth it if your HeyReach campaigns already produce the process and reporting your clients expect. Rebuilding orchestration and client operations costs more than the account subscription difference.
The same job, two workflows
Prepare outreach for one client and three senders
Start with: One client, three authorized LinkedIn accounts, and 30 approved prospect profile URLs. Prepare a connection request and one follow-up, with a named sender and a way to stop when someone replies.
Use this evaluation brief
Replace the bracketed input with your own approved data. This is a prompt to reproduce the comparison, not a tested result or authorization to send.
Input: [30 approved LinkedIn profile URLs], [three authorized sender accounts], [client brief]. Assign ten prospects to each sender. Return profile URL, sender, evidence of fit, a connection note, and one follow-up after acceptance. Flag existing contacts and missing data. Do not send. Stop a follow-up if there is a reply; identify how that check and the schedule will run.
Social
- Connect each authorized account and give your agent the prospect list, client context, and sender assignment rules.
- Ask for a reviewable plan containing the recipient, sending account, connection note, and follow-up text. Build reply checks and timing into your own agent workflow.
- Approve a small initial batch before writes execute. Inspect replies before authorizing any follow-up; Social does not supply the finished campaign dashboard in this example.
Output: An agent-managed plan and account-level actions. You own scheduling, reply handling, client reporting, and the review process.
HeyReach
- Connect the three senders, create the client workspace, and import the approved leads.
- Build a campaign sequence, select senders, and set the connection and follow-up steps.
- Launch the approved campaign and manage responses in the unified inbox. Use workspace reporting to review its progress.
Output: A campaign with assigned senders, a shared response workflow, and campaign reporting inside HeyReach.
These steps follow the documentation; we haven’t tested the workflows firsthand. Follow the Social setup instructions and HeyReach workflow documentation, then compare the output before committing.
What changes your decision
Scroll to compare both products.
| Requirement | Social | HeyReach |
|---|---|---|
| Agent integration | Hosted MCP and CLI. Bring your own agent to combine research, messages, publishing, and engagement; you define the workflow. | MCP plus API and webhooks are listed on Growth. An agent can operate HeyReach’s campaign model. |
| Agency operations | Select connected accounts explicitly. Build your own client reporting and campaign coordination around the account tools. | Multi-sender campaigns, a unified inbox, and workspaces with permissions serve client and sender management. |
| Permissions | The grant defines access, and the account selector chooses the connected identity. Write tools execute real actions; your MCP client or agent must obtain your approval. | Workspaces and permissions are included in the published Growth feature list. Confirm your client isolation and teammate roles before rollout. |
| Usage and deployment | Hosted API and MCP with a local CLI. Pay per connected LinkedIn account; account restrictions still apply, and no daily outreach volume is promised. | Cloud campaign service. Growth is priced per LinkedIn sender; larger packages change the sender economics. Sending still depends on account limits. |
| Data and integrations | CLI reads return JSON, and explicit sync can populate a local SQLite mirror for SQL queries. Design your own CSV or CRM mapping from the returned data. | Lead import supports CSV and CRM sources. CSV lead exports omit custom variables, so retain them separately; test the fields your client reporting requires. |
Price the same scenario
One agency operator, three LinkedIn senders, one month, and the 30-prospect pilot above. Compare monthly billing without an annual commitment.
Social
3 connected LinkedIn accounts × $20 = $60/month. LinkedIn proxy usage is flat, with no credit top-ups.
HeyReach
Growth: 3 senders × $79 = $237/month. The $999/month Agency package covers 25 senders and is not the cheapest tier for this three-sender example.
These are product subscription costs, not the full cost of operating a workflow. Your AI client or model, LinkedIn subscription, implementation time, and taxes are excluded on both sides. Flat pricing is not unlimited permission to act: account and provider limits still apply. These prices buy different operating models: Social’s $60 does not include a replacement for HeyReach’s agency campaign operations.
Before you switch
- Export the lead and suppression records you need, and save campaign text, sender assignments, and reply state. HeyReach’s lead CSV omits custom variables, so retain those separately before cancelling access.
- Reconnect each client-approved LinkedIn identity in Social. Existing client workspaces, team roles, campaign timing, and reporting need a new implementation; an account connection does not transfer them.
- Pause the old sequence for a small cohort, then test account selection, duplicates, opt-outs, and reply detection before authorizing follow-ups. Keep every prospect assigned to only one active sending workflow.

How we prepared this comparison
Prepared by Social, the product being compared, with Cyrus Nouroozi as the responsible author. Facts checked October 14, 2026 against the linked public pricing and product documentation and Social’s implementation. Competitor features are documented only, not tested firsthand. Prices are USD before tax. We have not measured deliverability, account restriction rates, or performance. Product changes require checking the affected claims and calculations again.
